Speaker Guidelines

Presentation submission deadline: 23rd April 2012

To ensure the oral sessions run as smoothly as possible we would like to ask you to upload your presentation files ahead of time. Our technician will then test your presentation and upload it to the PCs to be used during the workshop. You can always replace your presentation later if you should need to change something (in that case please send an email to the address given below).

To upload your presentation file please do the following:

  • make sure that you are using either Powerpoint (ppt) or Adobe PDF (pdf) format
  • if you are using soundfiles or videos during your presentation, please make sure that these are embedded in your presentation file. For powerpoint you can enforce this by setting the maximal size of embedded sound files to a sufficiently large number (the default is only 100 KB).
  • name your presentation file with of the first Author, e.g. 'MaryStevens' so that we can identify your presentation.
  • upload the presentation file using a standard browser to the following server address:
    https://www.phonetik.uni-muenchen.de/admin/file_upload/

We will collect the uploaded files and test them on the PC used during the workshop. We will send you a confirmation email that your presentation has been received and tested successfully or with any problems we have encountered. Of course all uploaded presentation files will be handled as confidential material, i.e. nobody except the technician will have access to the file.

Please upload your presentation files by Monday 23 April to allow time to check all presentations and to contact you if necessary.

If you have questions please direct them to Florian Schiel (schiel@bas.uni-muenchen.de).
